Sometimes when you execute a query the data returned does not fit neatly within the grid, for example multi-line text. Other data, such as dates, may be formatted to only show the date and not the time. In these situations you can view the 'hidden' details using one of the built-in data visualizers.

To visualize data select the cell in the results grid. Right click and select Text from the Visualize menu.

The full content of the cell is shown.

If the text represents XML you can format the text to make it more readable by using the Format As XML command on the context menu.

Other data types, such as a DATETIME, will show additional information such as the day of the week the date represents.

In addition to formatting XML text you can visualize XML using the Internet Explorer XML style sheet. To view XML in this way select XML from the Visualize context menu.
